New Roofed Yard

At last we have finished the extension to Edwards Shed by covering the yard.  This means that we can have stock up here "loafing" around under cover for the whole winter.  Thanks to Phil, Chris, Kelvin and Jay for completing it and to Rob Lamboll from CSF Exeter for the advice.

Dorpers Going

Due to the large numbers of Red Devons on the farm, we have made the difficult decision to sell the whole Dorper flock to Wayne and Anna Davies.  Wayne and Anna want to start breeding White Dorpers in conjunction with their Black Dorpers.  They are going to a great home

Cows to go to Pipers Farm

We have been approached by Pipers Farm to be one of their suppliers of beef.  Starting in August we will supply our first 12 cattle to them.  After TB what a piece of good news.

Loafing Yard finished

With the new Nitrate Vunerable Zones directive coming into force, we have to keep all of our cattle undercover and as such we need a bigger area for them to lie in.  Utilising the old Silage clamp, with a grant from Catchment Sensitive Farming, we have built a new roof over the yard.  Cheers to Phil and Chris who helped erect the roof and to Ian Luffman who did the steel work.
